ALBERTON FOOTBALL NETBALL LEAGUE TRAINERS ASSOCIATION
To ensure Sports Trainers of sporting clubs in affiliation with the Alberton Football Netball League (A.F.N.L.) administer, implement and maintain the highest possible standards of Sports Medicine and First Aid Care available. Vision Statement. 1/ Maintain the highest level of Sports care and First Aid care available. 2/ Administer this care within all legal and moral jurisdictions. 3/ Develop, acquire and implement New and Improved techniques of Sports Medicine/First Aid. 4/ To ensure through proper training and management that the sportsperson needs and wishes are not compromised. 5/ Implement efficient and cost affective Sports Training/First Aid programs. 6/ To ensure the best use of all resources available. 7/ To ensure that all measures implemented are within concur with any obligations and or agreements with the A.F.N.L. rules and guidelines.
Measures to attain these objectives. (A)- Only Qualified Trainers to wear correct Royal Blue collared shirt with TRAINER in Gold/Yellow on back with an A.F.N.L.T.A logo on front of shirt A.F.N.L Approved, (No club logos to be attached), jackets to be Royal Blue with Trainer on back with A.F.N.L & A.F.N.L.T.A logos on front A.F.N.L Approved, (No club logos to be attached) to wear Navy Blue/Black pants, tracksuit, drill pants or shorts that are neat and tidy.
(B)- First Aid personnel are to wear a White collared shirt and jacket to be White and to wear Navy Blue/Black pants, tracksuit, drill pants or shorts that are neat and tidy.
(B*)- Note to all First Aid personnel, Physiotherapists and Paramedics you cannot wear a Trainers uniform at a sanctioned game unless that person is qualified in that field, if unqualified as a Trainer a First Aid uniform should be worn as long as that person has a Current First Aid Certificate. Please note Registered Doctors are exempt from these rulings.
(C)- That all personnel are Qualified to wear the above uniforms (approved by A.F.N.L).
(D)- Conduct meetings on a regular basis to ensure transference of information between trainers.
(E)- To maintain and expand where possible the existing range of services to athletes.
(F)- To continually adapt to the changing needs of athletes.
(G)- To build future strengths through relationships with trainers throughout the A.F.N.L.
(H)- To invite guest speakers to meetings and or seminars to assist trainers in expanding their knowledge.
(I)- 1, Conduct annual accredited courses to train and qualify new trainers. 2, Annual courses should also provide the means of qualified trainers to reaccredit. 3, Ensure these courses should also contain elements that relate to maintaining the moral, pride dignity of sportspeople.
(J)- To have a representative attend A.F.N.L meetings when required for transference of information between the A.F.N.L and A.F.N.L.T.A.
(K)- To deliver to the A.F.N.L each club affiliated with the league and each trainer, written guidelines outlining the Duty of Care Statement relevant to each level of qualifications.
(K*)- Which are the guidelines set in (Sports Trainers in Community Australia Football Policy) The Management of Injuries and Medical Emergencies in Community Australian Football.
(L)- To keep and maintain a register within this association of all qualified trainers and reaccreditation schedules.
(M)- To seek funding and financial assistance where available to help implement training and reaccreditation programs.
(N)- To ensure that each club in or affiliated with the A.F.N.L having at least One level 1 accredited trainer in attendance and be active in each sporting event, which that club is participating in as per (Sports Trainers in Community Australian Football Policy).
(0)- To ensure that this association provides for the A.F.N.L a number of trainers as required by the league, to attend and participate in any sporting event, which the league has ratified.
(P)- To ensure that trainers including First Aiders have W.W.C.C.C Working With Children Check Card (Remember the onus is on the individual and or the Club or both if you fail to obtain this card and keep current) this is mandatory if working with Children under 18 years of age, there are special circumstances in some cases, so please check the fine print.
