In this weeks report there are a few things I need to highlight as we enter the half way mark of the year. Firstly, this time of the year the executives gather information on fellow members to decide if there are possible candidates for Life Membership that will then be passed onto an Independent Party, to collate information on the candidate/s eligibility for this position. All nominations are voted on by the Executive Committee based on the criteria below, which is collated by an Independent Party on the information given, which is then voted on, if in case of a tied vote, the League President will have the casting vote. All nominations must be written and signed/dated, that the person/s meet the criteria below. Nominations to be sent to the Secretary or President, who will then forward the information to the Independent Party to investigate and insure criteria is met. Results will then be returned to nominator/s so as to present the results to the Executive. If successful, Life Membership will be granted.
CRITERIA: 10 years service as a paid up Member with majority of attendance's including, 8 years on Exec. min, and/or - Interleague, Junior or Senior Grade at least 5 years and/or League Delegate for similar period, and/or In House Education for at least 5 years. Other side duties which may include helping other teams, assisting, volunteering, organising meetings/courses etc. The nominee must have attended 75% of meetings per year unless an apology is received, nominee must have the ability to show integrity, to treat everyone as an equal, not all of the above requirements must be met, but a majority of these and to have shown exemplary service to the A.F.N.L.T.A ....... Please Contact the President/Secretary on 0409748022. Thank you.
The other topic I wish to talk about is our UNIFORM. There is a (small group) out there that are not wearing the appropriate League Approved Uniforms, as required by A.F.N.L Guidelines Section 20 as required by the League. Uniform is ROYAL BLUE SHIRT with TRAINER in Yellow lettering, also ROYAL BLUE JACKET with TRAINER in Yellow lettering. All being League Approved quite some time ago, there should not be any excuses for this situation of personnel wearing white shirts/jackets with trainer on back, in black lettering with some including there team name lettered on the back and this includes team motifs. These people may also be unqualified as trainers or for that matter First/aiders, which opens up another can of worms so to speak. Also a wise thing to do would be to have at least 1 trainer to be a member of the A.F.N.L.T.A. for contact and correspondence purposes, which is a League request to all clubs. Please be proactive on this as we are here to help you.
The A.F.N.L.T.A over a period of time has established a high standard that all of its members would like to keep, and has the backing of the League in the direction we are moving in.
