CORRESPONDENCE IN/OUT..... A letter was given to League President John Schelling about assisting us in the protection of our association and our uniform. Blood rule regulations, players with flowing blood must come off ground to be treated and cleaned up. Non flowing blood must be cleaned up or covered. Defib suggestion to keep it near the bench while players are on the ground. A letter was sent to Foster about the club Dr, apparently Sean Warfe is a qualified trainer and I now have sighted his qualifications and proceeded with his membership pass.
TREASURER'S REPORT....... As of the 1/5/12 we have a balance of $4595.67. Moved.... D. Paterson 2nd......G. Bovell.
LEAGUE REPORT.......Interleague training has started at the MDU Football Ground. We have 6 trainers assisting with 2 grades of football and 2 grades of netball. Moved.... G. Bovell 2nd.....P. Rose.
GENERAL BUSINESS......We had a heavy discussion about 2 clubs who have sponsorship for their trainers tops, bypassing the trainers association. A letter was given to the League regarding our concerns. We need to ensure that steps are in place to protect our jackets and our logo's from being copied. The purpose of obtaining tops and jackets from our association is to make sure that those who are wearing them are qualified to do so. Those clubs who go outside the association now have to make sure that their trainers remain qualified and that they keep up with all neccesary courses that are needed. It was also noted that there was no representive from either club present for comment. We await news from the B.O.M about our concerns. Moved.... P. Rose 2nd......K. Patterson.
We then welcomed Matt Holmes who came to do a demonstration of special taping and answer some questions that trainers may have about taping and management of injuries. Thank you very much Matt for your assistance on the night.
